My passion for serving others has shaped my life, driving me to continually find new ways to contribute to my community. My life has been dedicated to service, which has brought me joy, purpose, and a deep sense of fulfillment.
Starting a charity during the COVID-19 pandemic was a huge undertaking, but also one of the most fulfilling decisions I've ever made. It began with a simple goal: to support our community in its time of need. My passion for service and my heart for volunteering have always driven me, and this new venture was no exception.
For years I worked in advertising as an outside sales rep. This experience was invaluable in my later work with nonprofits. I built many business relationships, learning the art of persuasion and the importance of clear, effective communication. These skills translated seamlessly into fundraising. When the recession hit, I found myself searching for a new path, and it led me to the nonprofit sector.
For the next 10 years, I dedicated myself to fundraising. My background in advertising was perfect for connecting with donors. I knew how to create engaging campaigns that resonated with people, inspiring them to support our cause. I worked for various nonprofits, including a Hospice organization that held a special place in my heart. I served on their board of directors and was deeply involved in fundraising efforts, driven by the exceptional care they provided to my own family members.
During the pandemic, I was asked to assist a local children's museum. The museum was struggling to stay afloat as it relied heavily on donations and couldn't keep its doors open because of COVID restrictions. I worked tirelessly to secure the funds needed to keep the museum operational. It was during this challenging time that the idea of starting a charity took root. Seeing the impact I had made on the museum, I realized the potential of a dedicated effort to support various local nonprofits.
My charity, Cheers to Charity, was launched in 2020. In our first year, we supported the local food bank, raising $30,000 amidst the pandemic's challenges. The next year, we raised $40,000 for a nonprofit assisting underprivileged children and families, and last year, we raised $50,000 for a local homeless shelter nonprofit. Our goal is to eventually raise $100,000 annually for deserving local nonprofits.
As an entirely volunteer-driven charity, I feel honored and inspired to work with so many amazing people who donate their time to these efforts. We organize events, host happy hours, and collaborate with people who share our passion for giving back.
In the midst of this new venture, I approached an associate broker in hopes of them becoming a donor. After meeting with me, they suggested I apply my skills to real estate. The charity I had started fulfilled my volunteering heart, allowing me to step away from full-time fundraising to try something new. I got my real estate license and jumped into this new career in 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic.
When I started my real estate career, I quickly realized I was still serving people in a meaningful way. Helping my clients achieve their dreams of homeownership is incredibly fulfilling. Whether buying or selling, it is one of the biggest decisions in your life and deserves care, dedication, and a high attention to detail. I’ve worked hard to establish myself as a trusted resource in the community.
Running Cheers to Charity, working in real estate, and volunteering for various community efforts allow me to live a purpose-driven life. It is my ultimate passion to help people and make a positive impact, and I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to provide this in many different ways.
My husband, Troy, a dedicated special education teacher and coach, has been my rock. Our daughter, Sophia, has grown up experiencing the world with us. We love traveling and experiencing different cultures, which has made us more well-rounded and understanding of diverse people and their experiences.
My love for real estate goes beyond just transactions; it's about creating a meaningful and supportive experience for my clients. Specializing in helping first-time homebuyers, I recognize the unique challenges they face and strive to make the process as seamless as possible. I take pride in alleviating the burden from my clients by managing every detail, from booking inspections to coordinating all necessary steps, ensuring they feel supported and confident throughout their journey.
My entire life has led me to this point, and I truly believe that this is where I'm meant to be. I bring energy and passion to my work, finding joy in every opportunity to help someone achieve their dream of homeownership. It's incredibly fulfilling to know that I'm making a positive impact, providing a service that can change someone’s life. My commitment to serving others through real estate is not just a job; it's a calling that I embrace wholeheartedly.
Sincerely,
